Jeffrey A. McDermott

CCSNA Vice-President, Region 4 Commissioner, Past South Carolina Commissioner

Jeffrey A. McDermott

Jeff McDermott Is currently Region 4 Commissioner for Clan Campbell Society N.A. He assumed this position succeeding our long-standing Region 4 commissioner Don Campbell of Highlands, NC (now Emeritus).  He filled this position after serving as SC State Commissioner for several years.  Jeff has attended most of the Games in his region and has traveled to AGM’s and midyear meetings as well as the Tartan Day parade in NYC. Jeff has actively promoted Scottish heritage and culture in his Region and enlarged the teams in these areas to participate in more Scottish Games and Cultural events in his region. Most recently, along with a Clan Kennedy Cohort, he has started a Burns Night in Upstate SC.

Jeff has Two Sons, Duncan (20) and Riley (18) who are active in Clan Campbell and willingly (at their Dad’s behest) to help when in attendance at Scottish Games and activities. He and his Boys are active Scouters and have attended National Jamboree 2017 and the World Jamboree 2019: Riley as a participant and Jeff, 2nd time, on the International Service Team.  Through his Boy Scout Training, WoodBadge, Jeff he is an Honorary member of Clan McLaren. He is also a member of Clan McKay through his mother’s family.

Jeff is a Real Estate investor and has worn many hats in his career from Managing a Research laboratory, and serving as Regional Trainer for a Fortune 100, to development of the emerging Bio-Fuels market in South Carolina (participating in landmark legislation promoting that market in his state). He has been employed in the Wastewater Industry for the last 10 years. He is the nominating committee’s choice for V-P of the Society and hopes to bring his enthusiasm for entrepreneurship to our Clan Campbell Society and help propel us into a new era of growth and development.

In October 2020 Jeff was elected CCSNA Vice-President for the 2020-2023 term.
