The Clan Campbell Society (North America) (“CCSNA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to safeguarding the personal information of our members and visitors. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

We collect information that you provide directly to us when you:

  • Apply for Membership: Name, address, email, phone number, and genealogical data.

  • Make a Purchase: Transaction details from the CCSNA Store.

  • Participate in Research: Data submitted to the Society Genealogist or the Campbell DNA Project

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to fulfill our mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit:

  • To process memberships and mail the quarterly Journal of the Clan Campbell Society.

  • To facilitate genealogical research and connect members with their Highland heritage.

  • To organize and notify you of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and local Highland Games. 

3. Information Sharing

  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

  • Service Providers: We share limited data with trusted contractors (e.g., printers for The Journal or secure payment processors) solely to provide Society services.

  • Member Directory: Basic contact info may be shared within the member-only directory unless you opt-out. 

4. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, please contact the Society Membership Chair.

Membership is open to all Campbells, Campbell septs, those married to a Campbell or Campbell Sept, those descended from Clan Campbell, and to those interested in learning about the Clan Campbell, Scottish history and culture, and who acknowledge Mac Cailein Mòr as their Clan Chief, as he is the Chief of Clan Campbell, the greatest family in all of Scotland! (We're a "wee bit" biased.)
