John Henry Glassel Campbell was born on 11 January 1821. He was the son of John Douglas Edward Henry Campbell, 7th Duke of Argyll and his 2nd wife, only dau. and hrss. of John Glassel, of Long Niddry, East Lothian, by his wife Helen Buchan, dau. of John Buchan of Letham.

Born: 11 January 1821

Married: Unmarried, Died young.

Children: Without issue.

Died: 27 May 1837

Tenure: 11 January 1821 - 27 May 1837

Other Ttitles: He was styled as Marquess of Lorne in 1821.

Preceded by: John Douglas Edward Henry Campbell, 7th Duke of Argyll

Succeeded by: George John Douglas Campbell, 8th Duke of Argyll

Note: Eldest son of John Douglas Edward Henry Campbell, 7th Duke of Argyll. He died on 27 May 1837 at age 16 at Ardincaple Castle, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.

(We're a "wee bit" biased.)
