CCSNA DNA Project Administrator

Kevin D. Campbell is the founder of the Campbell DNA Project and has managed this project for over 18 years. During this time, he has worked tirelessly to grow the DNA project to almost 2000 male DNA members and over 600 autosomal members. In this role, Kevin works daily to answer questions and help people interpret their DNA results.

Kevin D. Campbell

Kevin has written articles for the CCSNA Journal and has worked with Scottish universities about  ancient Scottish DNA. Most recently, Kevin has worked with the University of Strathclyde in identifying living descendants of Campbell signers of the Declaration of Arbroath for the 700th anniversary of the event.

Kevin has frequently helped to apply DNA analysis to genealogical issues. His work has provided original insights and corrected long standing errors in Campbell genealogy books such as Pilcher’s Historical Sketches of the Campbell, Pilcher & Kindred Families.

FamilyTreeDNA acknowledged Kevin’s work as a “Pioneer in Genetic Genealogy” at the 9th International Conference on Genetic Genealogy held in Houston, Texas, November 2013.

For Clan Campbell, Kevin has spent thousands of hours helping Campbells world-wide and has served as an endless advocate for CCSNA.

It is not an exaggeration to state that few members have had as long and sustained and significant contribution to our Society and Campbells world-wide as has Kevin.
