Former CCSNA Trustee, Former CCEF Director, Former State Commissioner

David B. Caimbeul, II was the CCS(NA) South Carolina Commissioner from 2001-2006 and then started the CCS(NA) Facebook page in 2009. He graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Tennessee; College of Architecture in 1995. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps that same month.

From 1995 -1998, David served as Base Architect (32E1A) at Charleston AFB, South Carolina with the 437th Civil Engineer Squadron and and participated in four hurricane and tropical storm repair efforts, including hurricanes Opal and Bertha. David attended the Air Force Institute of Technology Civil Engineer Officer Course, Wright-Paterson AFB in 1996.

From 1998-1999, David served as Military Construction Program Manager for Arnold Engineering and Development Center, Tennessee. The United States’ largest military testing program for air frames and ballistics. David assessed facility requirements and translated them into facility programs with 1391 documentation for Congressional funding requests. David separated from service July 1999 at the rank of Captain (32E3A).

David joined Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southern Division under a Veteran’s Recruitment Appointment in 2000. For the next six years David served as a Design Program Manager in support of Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Projects. The program effort consolidated and co-located Navy and Marine Reserve unit functions into shared facilities. In 2005 David accepted a position as an Architect / Design Manager with General Services Administration, Public Building Service, Region Four, Atlanta, Georgia. During this time David attended Georgia Institute of Technology and received a Master of Science in Urban Planning & Design in 2009.

In that year David accepted a promotion to Project Manager at the Centers for Disease Control, Buildings and Facilities Office. David programmed and directed laboratory alteration and evaluation projects as served as Design QC for new laboratory / support construction.

August 2012 David left Federal Service after a combined 18 years to start Caimbeul & Associates, PC. David’s military veteran status granted the company a Veteran Administration and Small Business Administration rating of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Caimbeul & Associates is also verified through the Center for Veterans’ Enterprise. The A-E firm is working towards supporting the DoD, GSA, CDC, and VA by building past performance with strategic alliance partners. The firm started by performing design services for 501(c)3 No Kill Animal Shelters and Veterinary Clinics drawing on experience David had with military working dog units and base shelters/clinics.

David was appointed a CCS(NA) Trustee in 2013.

(We're a "wee bit" biased.)
